A [visual + audio] digital art series inspired by taking comfort in the darkness... Zen Horror juxtaposes serene atmospheres with nuanced elements of horror. Meditation meets trepidation. 

 

Each installment features a 4:3 digital environment, and a 0:48 second infinite loop. Each 1/1 piece develops further in the second pass via both the audio and visual crescendo. .

THE STORY:

 

In the summer of 2020, two friends Josh Mayer aka OOAH and Spencer Stumby found themselves quarantined together. Isolated, and navigating through a creative block there was one constant: taking solace in horror movies sparking the genesis for Zen Horror. 

 

Zen Horror is the debut project from GREYTYPE, with other installments and series coming soon.
